Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi
Built in the 15th century, Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi is the seat of both the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and the Swiss Consulate in Venice. The cultural activities that are regularly organised there by Pro Helvetia on the one hand and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Milan on the other make the Palazzo an important venue for Swiss culture in Venice.
Besides events supplementing the exhibitions at the Swiss Pavilion during the Venice art and architecture biennials, Palazzo Trevisan also serves as venue for the concert and cultural event series entitled New Echo Systems, which focuses on experimental and on-site creational work. In parallel with this programme, Pro Helvetia offers theme-based residencies for Swiss cultural practitioners.
