ifa Gallery Berlin

With the transdisciplinary project Untie to Tie, which began in 2017, ifa Gallery Berlin initiated a discourse around the legacies of colonialism as well as movement, migration, and the environment.

Linienstraße 139-140, 10115 Berlin, Germany

Through an approach that observes, complicates, and re-narrates the world from multiplicitous and plural perspectives, ifa Gallery Berlin shapes empowering processes, interactions, and artistic spaces. In its exhibitions and educational programming, and by entering alliances, the gallery’s program sits with contradictions and both retraces and reconfigures global entanglements. Furthermore, since 2020, the gallery has been inviting contemporary artists to engage in dialogical encounters with individual artworks from the ifa collection through the format Out of the Box.

Elisabetta Di Maggio: Mapping the Air
Elisabetta Di Maggio’s project Mapping the Air, is thus a metaphorical reflection on our existence as parts of a whole, fragments of a natural world that, at the microcosmic and macrocosmic level, is constantly shifting and changing due to the extraordinary fecundity of its laws.
