NextArt Gallery

NextArt Gallery represents the Hungarian contemporary art created both by young talents recently graduated from universities and also more established, contemporary visual artists awarded by most prestigious art prizes, both Hungarian and international. The gallery started its work in 2007 with a group exhibition of the latest generation of domestic contemporary art and continues to sizzle up Budapest’s art scene for the 10th year.

NextArt Gallery creates a domestic contemporary scene for predominantly younger generation, a venue for new painting initiations, and aims to become a platform as well as a living community place. In addition to the main focus on paintings, the field of animation, video art, graphic art, installations and photography are also given an important role in the gallery’s portfolio. Moreover our mission is to become a venue for new art initiatives and international collaborations, a lively community space for those interested in art to connect with artworks and their creators. Most importantly we permanently work on international presence of our artists and gallery. In the past years we have exhibited at Scope Art Show in Miami building cultural ties and bolstering our presence at the US art scene.

Alongside with the individual exhibitions of the artists, other ideas are included in our vision, such as inviting guest curators for realization of thematic exhibitions, professional meetings, organization of discussion evenings, issuing publications etc.
