Christian Andersen

Christian Andersen is a contemporary art gallery based in Copenhagen, established in November 2010. The gallery works with emerging artists from Denmark and abroad, presenting a programme spanning a wide range of media and artistic approaches. Its exhibitions emphasise experimentation and emerging practices, providing a platform for new artistic voices within an international context.

Since February 2021, the gallery has been located on Frederiksholms Kanal in central Copenhagen, occupying a historic building that formerly housed the School of Sculpture of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The setting reflects the gallery’s connection to artistic education and production, while providing a distinctive architectural framework for its diverse exhibition programme.
