Galerie Karsten Greve
In 1999 Galerie Karsten Greve opens a third location in St. Moritz on Via Maistra. Changing exhibitions take place throughout the year, independent of the season.
Founded by Karsten Greve, born in 1946, the gallery develops an internationally recognized program focused on the avant-garde after 1945. Greve begins his career as an art dealer and publisher in 1969 and opens his first gallery in Cologne in 1973 with a solo exhibition by Yves Klein.
Close collaboration with artists such as Cy Twombly, Louise Bourgeois, Jannis Kounellis, and John Chamberlain shapes the gallery’s identity. The program includes artists such as Joseph Cornell, Jean Dubuffet, Willem de Kooning, Pablo Picasso, Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, and Wols, as well as contemporary artists including Leiko Ikemura, Qiu Shihua, and Ding Yi.
The gallery represents a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, and photography, and regularly publishes accompanying catalogues.
