Galeria Francisco Fino
Galeria Francisco Fino began its activities in 2012 with the presentation of exhibitions in various cultural spaces across the city of Lisbon. Operating in different contexts – from museological institutions to commercial venues – the gallery initially adopted a nomadic format, reflecting the mobility that characterises the contemporary art system. The programme, which included exhibitions by artists such as Fernanda Gomes, David Maljković and Tris Vonna-Michell, among many others, established the project as a continuous platform for the presentation, dissemination and promotion of national and international contemporary art.
In 2017, Galeria Francisco Fino moved into a permanent space, while continuing to situate itself within a broad cultural geography through partnerships with institutions and events that form part of the wider artistic network. The representation of artists of diverse nationalities is supported by a programme of cultural research, grounded in the production of critical and analytical discourse, and reinforced by a commitment to regular publications and other forms of knowledge sharing.
Alongside its commercial activity, Galeria Francisco Fino positions itself as a space for dialogue between artists, curators and other cultural agents, committed to aesthetics and to the evolving cartography of contemporary culture.
The gallery represents the artists: Gabriel Abrantes, Helena Almeida, Daniela Ângelo, Vasco Araújo, José Pedro Cortes, Diogo Evangelista, Karlos Gil, Igor Jesus, David Maljković, Adrien Missika, Pedro Paiva, Priscila Rooxo, Marta Soares, Tris Vonna-Michell
