Mariane Ibrahim opens her eponymous gallery in Seattle in 2012, relocating to Chicago in 2019. The gallery expands internationally with its first European space in Paris in 2021, followed by a third location in Mexico City in 2023.
Known for its focus on the African diaspora, the gallery showcases both leading and emerging artists, including Amoako Boafo, Yukimasa Ida, Peter Uka, and Zohra Opoku. It collaborates with renowned institutions worldwide and maintains a strong presence at international art fairs, earning acclaim and awards for its presentations.
In 2021, Ibrahim receives the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the French Ministry of Culture. Additional honours include the Prize Winner of the Presents Section at The Armory Show 2017, and roles on the Selection Committee for The Armory Show and the Visionaries Committee for Performa Arts. She is also a member of the Art Dealers Association of America.
