Emerson Dorsch
Founded by Brook Dorsch as Dorsch Gallery, the Miami-based contemprary art gallery Emerson Dorsch was the first to move to the city’s Wynwood District, where it is a central figure of its internationally-acclaimed art scene.
In 2008, the gallery moved to Little Haiti and art historian and curator Tyler Emerson-Dorsch joined as partner, pushing its programme to position the gallery at the forefront of the avant-garde discourse. Coinciding with a full renovation of its space, the gallery changed its name to Emerson Dorsch in 2013, reflecting the partnership in art and life between the two founders.
Nowadays, Emerson Dorsch pursues two complementary roles: first, to represent a core group of select South Florida-based artists and, second, to host and represent excellent emerging and mid-career visiting artists.
