Officine Saffi was founded in 2011 with the aim of promoting contemporary ceramics in Italy. The gallery is mainly focused on highlighting young and contemporary artists from all over the world, with a special attention to Northern Europe and Japan, but it also embraces the entire 20th century, showing pieces by acclaimed Masters. The gallery works together with many Italian museums in order to bring to Italy international artists working with clay, and to promote this medium in contemporary art and design. Moreover, the gallery runs workshops, talks, lectures, in addition to an Artist in Residence programme and a Biennial Award.
