The art gallery was born with the name Artopia in Milan on the first floor of an early-twentieth-century building. In the beginnings, the gallery stood out for its main focus on emerging artists from the Balkanic and Middle-Eastern scenes. After the renovation in 2008, during which the name Rita Urso was added, the scope of the gallery has widened to include international and Italian artists working across a wide range of media.
