UNA
Founded in spring 2018 in Piacenza by Marta Barbieri and Paola Bonino, UNA is a contemporary art gallery dedicated to artists born in the 1980s and 1990s. Established outside the main art centres, the gallery pursues an independent research-driven programme, fostering close dialogue with artists and audiences. UNA focuses on practices that investigate key issues of the present, including the relationship between humans and nature, gender and feminism, cultural diaspora, new technologies, image circulation and emerging figurative languages. Working across media such as photography, video, painting and sculpture, the gallery often privileges installation as a primary mode of presentation. UNA also organises off-site and site-specific projects, collaborating with local and national institutions. In 2025 it opens a second space in Milan, while maintaining its headquarters in Piacenza.
