Founded in 1986 in Pozzuoli (Italy)
Alfonso Artiaco gallery was founded in 1986 in Pozzuoli, Naples, and opened its spaces with the group exhibition ‘Possibilità di Collezione’. In 1995 the gallery moved in Via Mameli, Pozzuoli, with an exhibition by Carl Andre and Sol LeWitt, until 1997 when it came back to Corso Nicola Terracciano, the first location, with Jannis Kounellis’ show. The gallery moved to Naples in 2003, in Piazza dei Martiri, and inaugurated the new space with the exhibition by Gerhard Merz
‘Fragments Napoli 2003’. In 2010 a project space was launched with an exhibition by Magnus Plessen. In November 2012 the Alfonso Artiaco Gallery has moved to Piazzetta Nilo, Naples, opening its new premises with the exhibition by Liam Gillick and a tribute to Sol LeWitt.
