The Hole Galler

The Hole Gallery is a contemporary art gallery run by Kathy Grayson, a former director at the now-closed Deitch Projects. In its 4000 sq. ft. Bowery space, the gallery not only exposes two simultaneous exhibitions every month, but a showroom in the back and The Hole Shop in the front where you can buy all manner of books, zines, posters, and other artist products.

The Hole is a  contemporary art gallery in New York City representing emerging artists run by Kathy Grayson, a curator and writer as well as a former director at Deitch Projects. Kathy has put together numerous art exhibitions both at Deitch and at galleries and museums around the world while also making books, essays, art reviews, parties, performances and interdisciplinary art activities. “Filling a hole in the downtown community” is our goal.

Its 4000 sq. ft. Bowery space, we present monthly solar and group exhibitions– often two separate exhibitions simultaneously– including artists from the very emerging to the established in our thematic shows. In between exhibitions we host events and special projects that cater to other emerging and creative industries, and compliments our philosophy of collaboration across the arts.
