Continua – Paris

Fifteen years after the opening of its Les Moulins space in the Parisian countryside, Galleria Continua relaunches its presence in France by inaugurating a new location, this time in the Marais, one of the most characteristic neighbourhoods of Paris. Galleria Continua Paris is located on the corner of Rue du Temple and Rue Michel-le-Comte, (a stone’s throw from the Centre Pompidou) and measures 800 square metres on two floors. It is a project outside any traditional gallery canon: the space, in fact, is located in the premises of a former warehouse dedicated to the wholesale of leather goods. And it maintains its appearance, camouflaging its window with those of the other shops on the street and creating a hybrid space between gallery, citymarket, café and meeting place. A somewhat unconventional situation – as it has rightly been called – open to experimentation, inclined to experience the space beyond the usual canons of layout.
