Baró

Established and directed by Maria Baró, the gallery was first open in the west of São Paulo in the neighbourhood of Santa Cecília, in 2010. In 2015, the gallery expanded and inaugurated a second space, Baró Jardins, in the Jardins district. Baró, a reference in promoting Latin American art, has played an important role in the international art circuit helping to establish an intense dialogue between artists, curators and cultural institutions. The gallery priority is to display site-specific works and curatorial projects, with a strong attention on contemporary artists of the ’70s and ’80s.
