The gallery opened in 2001 under the direction of Márcia Fortes, Alessandra d’Aloia, and Alexandre Gabriel. The Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel | Galpão (ex Fortes Vilaça Galpão) was inaugurated in 2008.

Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel is a contemporary art gallery, directed by Márcia Fortes, Alessandra d’Aloia, and Alexandre Gabriel, which organizes exhibitions and lectures.

Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel | Galpão is the second space of the network inaugurated in 2008.
This industrial and rustic warehouse located in Barra Funda houses an exhibition space, an art storage and a viewing room and hosts both emerging and established artist from Brazil and the rest of the world.
