Alessandro Casciaro Venezia

Starting in April 2024, Galleria Alessandro Casciaro opens a new exhibition space in Venice, at Fondamenta S. Giacomo 199, next to the Basilica del Santissimo Redentore. The new gallery overlooks the Giudecca Canal directly, with views toward San Marco and Punta della Dogana.

The Giudecca space joins the gallery’s exhibition venue in Bolzano, providing further continuity to its programming, and is conceived as a new meeting place for collectors, artists, and art professionals.

Venice is a city in constant transformation, and the desire was to establish a permanent presence in a place marked by strong passage and movement. Although the Biennale continues to have a decisive influence on the art world, Venice also possesses a deeply local character. We felt it was important to respond to the moment of artistic reawakening the city is experiencing, with a space that engages simultaneously with both the global and the local dimensions of the lagoon.
