Independent Art Space

DOCK Kunstraum, Archiv und Ausleihe

As a hybrid between art space, archive, and lending library, DOCK promotes art in Basel and the region.

Klybeckstrasse 29, 4005 Basel, Switzerland

Supported by the non-profit association ‘Dokumentationsstelle Kunst der Region Basel’, DOCK is a self-organised and independent art space founded in 2009. It offers a platform for contemporary regional artists, inviting the general public to participate in art through constantly innovative forms of exchange.

DOCK is at once an art space and an archive, with about 290 physical and digital documentations of local artists, providing a diverse insight into contemporary artistic work in Basel and its surroundings. By organising various exhibitions and discussion panels, DOCK acts as an interface between artists, professional audiences and the public.
