Soft Space

Soft Space is a collaborative, artist-led initiative located at Clarastrasse 50 in Basel, transforming a former flower shop into a vibrant hub for creative experimentation and community engagement.

Founded by Ada Fischer, Soft Space emerged from her earlier pop-up project, Soft Loft, which combined secondhand fashion, clothing repair, and natural wine tastings. Building on this concept, Soft Space brings together a diverse array of creatives, including a ceramic workshop, a tattoo collective, a yoga studio, a clothing repair project, and Fischer’s own secondhand boutique.

The space also hosts events like DJ sets, workshops, and readings, fostering an environment where ideas can be tested and developed without the pressure of perfection. By providing a rent-free venue for these activities, Soft Space lowers barriers to entry for emerging artists and entrepreneurs, encouraging collaboration and innovation within the local community.
