YDP

YDP is an independent, non-profit project space in London dedicated to contemporary art by Asian and Asian diasporic artists. Founded as a personal project by arts philanthropist Yan Du, it forms part of her broader vision to foster transcultural dialogue.

Housed in a Grade I-listed eighteenth-century townhouse, YDP was conceived as a ‘suitcase project’, reflecting the diasporic experience of creating a home while remaining in motion. The redesign, developed in collaboration with BEAU Architects, introduces flexibility and adaptability into the building’s original Georgian architecture while respecting the historic character of Bedford Square.
