Casa Pedregal

Avenida de Las Fuentes 180, Jardines del Pedregal, Álvaro Obregón

Casa Pedregal is a residential project by Luis Barragán, built around 1947–1950 in the Jardines del Pedregal of Mexico City for Eduardo Prieto López. The house integrates the volcanic lava field landscape into its design, blending modernist forms with Mexican tradition. Its layout and openings emphasize light, shadow, and indoor–outdoor harmony, marking an early milestone in Barragán’s architectural evolution.
