Nixxxon
NIXXXON is an independent space in Mexico City dedicated to the research and exhibition of contemporary art, both local and international.
Since its founding in 2015, the project has developed solo and group exhibitions that support the recognition and professionalisation of artists, curators, and cultural practitioners. In recent years, the project has consolidated itself as a flexible platform that seeks to reflect on distribution channels, exhibition spaces, and the audiences that gather around contemporary art.
The artists who have been part of this programme engage in contrasting dialogues along recognisable axes such as the politics of the body, the habitability of the environment, migration, and history.
Since 2021, NIXXXON has presented more than twenty solo and group exhibitions featuring artists and designers including Mariana Paniagua, Héctor Jiménez, Elisa Malo, Roger Muñoz, Magdalena Petroni, Eric Muñoz, Elizabeth Calzado, Sangree, Fabien Cappello, Roberto Michelsen, Laura Elena Garduño, Alicia Ayanegui, Carlos Iván Hernández, and Miriam Salado, among others.
NIXXXON has received support from the Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo’s Curatorial Projects Fund (2023 and 2024).
