MEET Digital Culture Center

MEET Digital Culture Center is an international centre for digital art and culture established in Milan in February 2018 through the collaboration between Fondazione Cariplo and Meet the Media Guru, a platform directed by Maria Grazia Mattei that has invited leading figures in international digital culture to Milan since 2005.

The centre was founded with the aim of addressing the digital divide in Italy and promoting a broader awareness of technology as a resource for creativity and social development. It operates as both a physical and virtual space for the production and dissemination of events, exhibitions, masterclasses and digital experiences for regional and national audiences, while also acting as the Italian node of a global network active across Europe and beyond.

Based on the view that innovation is primarily a cultural matter, MEET develops a programme of online and onsite initiatives — including talks, exhibitions, educational activities and performances — that explore digital culture and its social implications.

In October 2020, MEET opened its headquarters in the Porta Venezia district of Milan, in an early twentieth-century building redesigned as a new media space by architect Carlo Ratti.

Through international exchange and collaboration, MEET supports the creation, learning and dissemination of digital culture, engaging with emerging practices and models within a global context.
