Spazio Maiocchi

A social space for new cultural experiences in Milan

Via Achille Maiocchi, 7, 20129 Milan, Italy

Spazio Maiocchi is a social space where art, design, and fashion come together to create new cultural experiences, located in a former industrial building of over 1000 square metres in central Milan. Founded by the partners Slam Jam and Carhartt WIP, the space opened in October 2017 and has since hosted cross-disciplinary projects with a range of international collaborators. With a diverse programme of events and exhibitions curated by KALEIDOSCOPE, Spazio Maiocchi has become recognised as a new type of art institution, fostering a culturally engaged, new-generation audience in Milan, a leading centre for fashion and design.

Since 2019, the storefront space has featured Artifact, a flexible meeting space and display for ideas, designed by the Berlin-based architecture firm Gonzalez Haase, with a focus on the concept of craft. In Spring 2020, Spazio Maiocchi launched Afterimage, an online platform dedicated to moving image, aimed at providing a space for meaningful and immersive viewing in a time of abundant visual content.
