Les Frigos
A vibrant hub of creation and production, Les Frigos is home to over 120 artists and professionals across a wide range of disciplines.
Les Frigos is a former refrigeration station built in 1921, then repurposed in the 1980s to accomodate artisans and artists. A unique and vibrant hub of creation and production, it is home to over 120 artists and professionals across a wide range of disciplines.
Here richness of expression dominates. What makes the space truly unique is the diversity of its residents — spanning visual arts, design, music, theatre, film, and beyond. Its open, inclusive structure resists categorization and encourages cross-disciplinary exchange, offering a broader, more dynamic vision of culture. Rather than aligning with institutional or market-driven definitions of art, Les Frigos evokes a spirit closer to that of the Renaissance – where art, craft, and thought exist in constant dialogue.
Usually not open to the public, it organises several open days in spring.
