The Project Room by India Mahdavi

Architect, designer and set designer, India Mahdavi lives and works in Paris. Founded in 2000, her studio is distinguished by the diversity and transdisciplinary nature of its international projects, spanning architecture, interior and set design, and furniture and objects. In 2020, she opened the Project Room on Rue de Bellechasse, a space for free expression hosting sets, carte blanche projects and events. Known for her unique environments, Mahdavi combines a cosmopolitan art of living with a modern vision of comfort and elegance, expressed through a distinctive, colourful vocabulary. The Project Room is a space dedicated to creative freedom and collaboration. It invites, produces and presents projects, bringing together different talents and disciplines while fostering dialogue with designers from diverse backgrounds through installations, sets, models, screenings, performances, talks and encounters. The project room is renewed four times a year, with free admission.
