Museum am Lindenplatz
Housed in a Neoclassical building from 1845, the Museum am Lindenplatz is the centrepiece of a decentralised cultural concept established for the city’s 1200th anniversary. While the main site hosts rotating special exhibitions across two floors, its historical collections are uniquely integrated into their original contexts across three specialised locations. These include the Agricultural Museum, the Museum Dorfstube Ötlingen focusing on rural life, and the Museum of Textile History in the Kesselhaus. This innovative structure allows the gallery to act as a modern hub for temporary displays while preserving the region’s industrial and agrarian heritage within authentic, historical settings throughout the city.
