KODE 3

In KODE 3 we present The Rasmus Meyer Collection and our great collection of works by Edvard Munch, including many of his major works.

Among the highlights of the collection are paintings from the Golden Age of Norwegian art, as well as historical interiors from the Bergen area. The presentation includes highlights from the careers of Norwegian artists such as J.C. Dahl, Harriet Backer, Erik Werenskiold and Gerhard Munthe.

The building opened in 1924. It was designed by architect Ole Landmark to house the extensive art gift donated in 1916 to the City of Bergen by businessman and art collector Rasmus Meyer.
