Launched in 1946, the venue has been one of the leading exhibition spaces in Berlin since its opening
The space constitutes a leading platform for artists who live and work in Berlin and have already achieved significant international standing to make visible their innovative thinking, covering a wide range from the visual arts, design and architecture all the way to artists working with sound and composition.
Its programme of exhibitions aims to exhibits innovative artistic positions and to animate the space as a context for cultural debate, and exchange not only between the visitor and the works of art but also between visitors of all generations, artists and scientists.
The sculpture park by the Waldsee, too, offers contemporary artistic inspiration of the highest calibre on multiple sensory, practical and intellectual levels.
