Cisternerne

Cisternerne is a subterranean exhibition space for contemporary art, located in the former water reservoirs of Søndermarken. Known as Denmark’s only dripstone cave, it invites internationally recognised artists and architects each year to create large-scale, site-specific exhibitions that interact with and emphasise the unique architecture, climate, atmosphere and history of Cisternerne.

Alongside its exhibition programme, Cisternerne offers a variety of activities and events for both adults and children.
