Copenhagen Contemporary
One of Scandinavia’s largest spaces for contemporary art, Copenhagen Contemporary (CC) is a vibrant international art centre offering 7,000 square metres of bright industrial space within the vast former welding hall of the B&W shipyard, remodelled by architect Dorthe Mandrup. Focusing on contemporary art and the world around it, CC presents large-scale and technologically ambitious works by established international artists and emerging talents, including immersive installations, performance art and monumental video works.
CC strives to be a learning organisation that explores new ways of being an art institution. It develops and communicates artistic and curatorial innovations, fosters collaboration, and organises events with a wide range of partners across the cultural and social spectrum, both locally and internationally.
