Collection Lambert
Collection Lambert opened in 2000 by Yves Lambert to share his private art collection with the public.
The Lambert Collection in Avignon was created in 2000 by Yvon Lambert who wanted to present his personal collection of contemporary art to the public in the Caumont Palace. This contemporary art collection reflects the major art movements of our time: Minimal art, Conceptual art, Land art, painting from the 1980s, video and photography from the 1990s. It brings together great artists such as: Cy Twombly, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd, Niele Toroni, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Anselm Kiefer, Christian Boltanski, Nan Goldin, Douglas Gordon and Jenny Holzer whose works are presented all year round, alternating or included in temporary exhibitions. Since July 2015, access has been available to the new museum, which has doubled its exhibition space: the Caumont and Montfaucon buildings now house a permanent exhibition of the collections.
