Cricoteka, Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor was founded by Tadeusz Kantor as early as in 1980. At first it has been the basic institution for Kantor’s theatre, simultaneously a kind of the “Living Archives” of his theatre creation. In 2014, in Krakow’s Podgórze district, Cricoteka’s new headquarters has opened its doors to the public. In keeping with its ambitious architectural design, the new space has transformed the functioning of the institution.
