Museo Ex Teresa Arte Actual

Formerly the Temple and Convent of Santa Teresa la Antigua, the church—still standing today—was begun in the mid-17th century. The twentieth Archbishop of Mexico, Don Francisco de Aguilar y Seixas, dedicated it to Saint Teresa on 11th September 1684. Ex Teresa Arte Actual is a museum dedicated to the creation, research, and promotion of contemporary art and culture. It provides a venue designed to facilitate artistic practice across various media and trends, enabling codifications, representations, and translations that foster knowledge while also disseminating experimental art movements.
