Fondazione Galleria Milano
The Fondazione Galleria Milano is a cultural institution located in the Corvetto district of Milan. The venue, a classical building developed over two floors overlooking an internal courtyard, houses a large library, a historical archive, and a collection of materials and catalogues related to the over one thousand artists who have participated in the gallery’s activities over time on the ground floor. Additionally, on the upper floor, a spacious area is dedicated to exhibitions.
The foundation aims to preserve the heritage of the historic Galleria Milano, established in 1928, by conserving its archive and promoting projects related to the contemporary art scene, with a focus on artistic research. The main activities include exhibitions, performances, talks, and educational initiatives, all aimed at fostering a dialogue between the local and international art scenes. A key aspect of the project is the strengthening of the role of artists’ archives, with a dedicated initiative for their enhancement.
