Museo Poldi Pezzoli
A diachronic artistic journey in Milan
Via Alessandro Manzoni, 12, 20121 Milan, Italy
Opened to the public in 1881 and beloved by both Milanese locals and international visitors, the Museo Poldi Pezzoli captivates not only with the charm of its spaces—evoking past eras from the Middle Ages to the 18th century, including the Armoury reinterpreted by contemporary artist Arnaldo Pomodoro—but also with the variety and richness of its collections.
With thirty rooms showcasing masterpieces of painting, sculpture, carpets, lace and embroidery, weapons and armour, jewellery, porcelain, glass, furniture, sundials, and mechanical clocks, the museum boasts over 6,000 extraordinary objects, spanning from antiquity to the 19th century, all immersed in a magical atmosphere.
