Museo Civico di Castelbuono

The Civic Museum of Castelbuono (MCC) is the cultural institution entrusted with the conservation, enhancement, and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Municipality of Castelbuono (PA). The Museum provides insights into the historical-architectural evolution of the building and of the entire urban context, with special permanent didactic sections, representing the two historically most accredited hypotheses; it is projected into the scenario of contemporary artistic production, hosting exhibitions and a permanent section on the first floor, and finally preserves and exposes the artifacts related to the cult of the patroness Sant’Anna, whose sacred relic is kept in the baroque casket of the Serpotta, the Palatine Chapel, on the second floor.
