Beaux-Arts de Paris

Founded in 1648 as the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture.

Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and just a short distance from the Louvre Museum, the Beaux-Arts de Paris is an academy whose primary mission is the education of students intending to artistic high level creation.

In accordance with the pedagogical principles that have always prevailed at the Beaux-Arts, training is given in the studio, under the guidance of renowned artists. This studio practice is complemented by a range of theoretical and technical courses which aim to allow students a diversity of approaches. They aim to provide them with a broad artistic culture, while encouraging multiple fields of experimentation and transdisciplinarity.

Heir to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture founded in the XVIIe century by Louis XIV, it remains a top meeting place for the creation, heritage and history, and plays an essential role in the artistic and cultural scene.
