Centre Pompidou

Opened in 1977 by President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. The Centre Pompidou was designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers.

Located in the area of the Beaubourg in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, near Les Halles, rue Montorgueil, and the Marais, In 1969, Centre Georges Pompidou houses the a public library, the Musée National d’Art Moderne – the largest museum for modern art in Europe – , and IRCAM, a centre for music and acoustic research.
