Musée de l’Orangerie
Located in the west corner of the Tuileries Gardens next to the Place de la Concorde, the Musée de l'Orangerie displays impressionist and post-impressionist paintings.

The Orangerie was originally designed to shelter the orange trees of the Palais des Tuileries during winter. Today, it is renowned for Claude Monet’s monumental Water Lilies, unveiled here in 1927 and displayed across two distinctive oval galleries. The museum also houses the Jean Walter and Paul Guillaume collection, featuring works by Matisse, Renoir, Picasso, Cézanne, Gauguin, Modigliani and others. Throughout the year, it presents temporary exhibitions, contemporary installations, guided visits, workshops and performances.
