Musée Zadkine
Dedicated to the memory and the work of Ossip Zadkine (1890-1967), a sculptor of Russian origin, who lived and worked in the house and its studios.
The studio-museum dedicated to Ossip Zadkine is preserved in its dual role as both a residence and creative space, remains a rare testament to the artistic Montparnasse era, alongside Antoine Bourdelle’s studio. Opened in 1982 through the bequest of Valentine Prax, Zadkine’s widow, this museum has recently undergone renovations to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary. It now features a refreshed identity with a new reception area and a more immersive presentation of the artist’s works. Visitors can explore the studio, garden, and newly restored spaces, experiencing Zadkine’s sculptures in an environment that reflects the seasons and the original atmosphere of the artist’s home and workspace.
