Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle
The Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (MNHN), established in 1793, is a French government institution focused on research, collections, expertise, and education in the fields of Natural History and Human Sciences. It features numerous scientific galleries and both zoological and botanical gardens across Paris and throughout France. MNHN plays a key role in preserving heritage, managing extensive national collections that include living organisms, inert materials, documents, and databases. As a research hub, it offers educational programs (Master’s and PhD) and coordinates the work of 950 researchers dedicated to studying biological and ecological diversity, its origins, and sustainable management.
