The Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo is a visual arts museum with an emphasis on Brazilian production from the 19th century until today. Founded in 1905 by the São Paulo State Government, it’s the city’s oldest art museum. It is installed in a historic building designed by Ramos de Azevedo. In 2004, Pinacoteca incorporated the former Estrada de Ferro Sorocabana (Sorocabana Railway Station) building, renovated by Haron Cohen, which became the Estação Pinacoteca.
