MAN Museum
The MAN – Museum of Art of the Province of Nuoro is a permanent public institution, unique in Sardinia, dedicated to the study, preservation and promotion of modern and contemporary art. The museum pursues its cultural mission through a wide range of activities, both within its galleries and across the region. These include organising exhibitions devoted to contemporary visual languages and the history of art from the 19th to the 21st century; enhancing and expanding its collections, which comprise Sardinian art from the early 20th century to the present day; and developing educational, interpretive and public engagement programmes for audiences of all ages.
At the heart of the museum is the concept of an “open museum”: a permanent centre for artistic research and experimentation, a place of production and dialogue where memory and innovation, research and public engagement, global perspectives and local action coexist.
