Founded in 2006, the center is a reference point for cultural initiatives and events.

The steel building of Songwon Art Center, designed by Kisu Park of Mass Studies, functions as a cultural space, furnished with all kind of technologic video and sound equipment to host experimental musical, art and filmic works.
The five floors host restaurants and multicultural spaces, where several exhibitions are organised. Since its foundation the center has been playing a fundamental role as a mediator for exhibiting young artists.
