Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum

Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum is an art organization founded by the China Minsheng Banking Corporation to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities and cultural aspirations. Located in the Redtown International Art Community, converted from the old Shanghai No.10 Steel Factory, the 4000-square-meter Museum officially opened in 2010. It is the first art museum funded by a private financial institution in China. Minsheng champions independence, freedom, inclusiveness and openness as its core concepts and strives for lasting international prestige. As a privately supported institution protected by national policies, Minsheng Art Museum actively advances the development of contemporary art in China, by launching sorely needed outreach programs and comprehensive international art and scholarly exchange.
