Gallerie dell’Accademia

The Gallerie dell’Accademia displays masterpieces of Venetian painting from both Venice and the wider Veneto region, featuring works spanning from the Byzantine and Gothic 14th century to the Renaissance masters — Bellini, Carpaccio, Giorgione, Veronese, Tintoretto, and Titian — through to Giambattista Tiepolo and the 18th-century “Vedutisti”, including Canaletto, Guardi, Bellotto, and Longhi. These artists have profoundly influenced the course of European painting. The Museum also hosts temporary exhibitions by renowned contemporary artists.
