Atelier 030202 Gallery is a platform for contemporary art, based in Bucharest (RO) which is dedicated to young artists, curators and art historians with a passion for experimentation and innovation in contemporary art. Atelier 030202 Gallery is a non-profit art space, hosted in a Comedy Theatre, where artistic events are alive and art interventions of all kinds can be discovered- music, performance art, contemporary dance, video projections, installations, urban art. With a strong curatorial program, they welcome challenging and consistent proposals and are open to partnerships with different artists, Romanian and international curators, as well as other institutions and bodies.

The numerous projects shown at Atelier 030202 Gallery, created a unique identity, a new vibe, a special interaction between the exhibiting artists and the viewer. Atelier 030202 Gallery, borrowed its named from its location’s zip code and now, seven years after the official opening, has a hosting record of over 85 projects, art exhibitions and conferences. 150 Romanian and international artists showed their artwork in our space and 20 curators and art historians coordinated and wrote about our exhibitions. So far Atelier 030202 Gallery has hosted major events, such as NAG (White Night of the Art Galleries), WEG (Galleries weekend), IEEB (International Biennial of Experimental Print), EBienale (Biennale of Contemporary Art “George Enescu”) and BB (Bucharest Biennale). Atelier 030202 Gallery was founded in December 2009, by visual artist Mihai Zgondoiu, 20 years after the fall of communism in Romania.
