Founded in 1998, 1a space is an independent, non-profit contemporary visual art organisation and art venue founded by a collective of Hong Kong art professionals

One of Hong Kong’s leading contemporary visual art organisations, 1a space promotes the critical dissemination of contemporary visual arts practices in Hong Kong and internationally, making art popular and accessible.
Over the years, 1a space has produced more than 130 exhibitions and cultural initiatives, participating in international exchanges, cultural festivals, community art and education programmes, and publications.
