Matadero Madrid

Matadero is a platform for contemporary art located in Madrid’s Arganzuela district.

Born with the aim to promote arts and culture, Matadero Madrid is a multidisciplinary space that serves as creative and participatory lab.

In 2009 the space established an initiative which aims to give more visibility to artists from Madrid or those living in the city. The archive, which is in its first phase, focuses on visual and plastic artists under 35. It is both a physical space, located in Matadero Madrid’s Coordination Office, and a virtual space.
